How accurate is the TDEE calculator?

It’s a estimate at best. There are many factors that go into your total daily energy expenditure beyond age, weight and height, but this is a great place to start. Use the TDEE calculator as a reasonable estimate to start with, adjust your calories based on your weight changes over time. Use weekly average weight to track your progress instead of day to day weight.

No option for activity level?

Activity level is set to sedentary by default with this TDEE calculator. Activity level is often overestimated which could mislead you to eat more than you should to progress towards your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, focus on tracking your diet and treat burned calories as a bonus. If your goal is to gain weight, adding on your estimated burned calories from workouts is fine.
